After the wedding ceremony at Magens Bay, we made our way over to the Agave Terrace. Unfortunately, by the time we arrived at the restaurant, the sun had set and it was dark, so we couldn’t see the amazing view. This restaurant sat on top of the island and you could see the Wyndham down below. Both Steven (the head chef and owner) and Gabriel (the maĆ®tre de) made sure that our dinner was not only some of the best food we had on the island, but that we also enjoyed the best service of our entire trip. We had two tables set up with each of the wedding favors set out for each of our guests. They even printed menus for our special night. They had already prepared the cake table and put our cake toppers on top. Everything looked beautiful and we were left to only enjoy each other’s company.

Just as we were all finishing our meals, Paige clinked her glass to get everyone’s attention and then opened the floor to anyone who wanted to make a toast. (Seiously, this kid of mine is very comforable in front of a crowd!) Julie and Jamie chose words that made me smile and brought tears to my eyes. I mean really, I was just a big ball of tears all night! Julie took all due credit for being the reason we met (thanks again, Jules!!) and showered us with compliments. Jamie kept us all guessing and then in stitches with his pink Cosmo, stories of his “partner” and a few reminiscent memories of those wilder days.

One of the details decided from so far away was the wedding cake. For such a particular request communicated only over email, this mystery baker did an amazing job! While we may have had a TON of pictures of the iguanas or that rock on the beach, the next in line for most pics was our cake! Those cake toppers were tough to shoot - Paige won the prize :)

Paige and Heath danced together and Steven, the head chef and owner, entertained the kids by pointing out the resident hermit crabs.

The open air taxi driver had agreed, or was coerced, into staying so we’d have transportation back to our hotel after dinner. We all crammed in and enjoyed the 5 minute ride back!

What a terrific night of celebration!

Thank you for being such wonderful hosts to us! It was the perfect reception to follow such an amazing ceremony! And at least there's a picture of me giving my toast since it didn't even dawn on my wonderful husband to video my speech like he did Jamie's! ;)
