and the braces come off!

Short story: Nicole got her braces off =)

Longer version:

Nicole was not onboard for getting her braces off and using this tooth positioner for several weeks. The plan is that she wears this positioner which is a mix between those whitener trays that are molded to your teeth and those plastic tooth protectors that athletes wear. Basically, it will do the last bit of tooth tweaking while she sleeps at night over a few weeks instead of keeping the braces on for another 6 months. This taxi, I mean mom, who drove Nicole to the ortho appointments every 2 weeks is VERY much onboard with this plan.

So, I was excited, her dad was not and Nicole was like, Whatever!

After the braces came off and Nicole was getting used to feeling her teeth again, she started to smile. She's a little hesitant to have nothing on her teeth at this point, so she opted to wear the positioner tonight rather than waiting to start tomorrow. She's afraid her teeth will move back overnight, but enjoying not being a metal mouth for the first time in 4 years!
