Meet our newest family member:
Paige has been begging for her very own pet since we got Trixie. She wanted one that SHE could pick out because after Kyle, it was supposed to be her turn to choose. After we had two cats, Sake and Mali moved in and we are covered in animals- all girls. At one point, I promised (a pinky promise at that) Paige that whenever we did not have one of our current pets, that she would pick out the next one. (Note to all the parents out there: Be VERY careful what you promise your children. They will never forget!) I was thinking these animals would live another ten plus years. Only Kyle ran away. So she reminded me, almost daily, of my promise. It took me awhile to work on convincing Heath that we NEEDED another pet in the house. Paige's birthday did just the trick.
She adopted this sweet boy kitty for her birthday this year from the Williamson County Humane Society. We went after her slumber party excitement to let her pick out a new pet. After much deliberating and many tears from me and Nicole, she chose a smoky, black kitten who the folks there had named Thunder. He is playful and friendly and feisty ... the name seemed to fit him perfectly, so we did not change it. He was scheduled for his surgery on Tuesday so he could not come home until today.
Here are just a few pics ... and now you'll love him just as much as we do.
Coming home ...
He had a carrier, but kept meowing so Paige felt bad and wanted to hold him.

I don't know ... do you think Nicole likes him?

What a cutie!
Mogz hates to ride in her carrier. She prefers the dash.
My pets are so weird.
Yay! More kitties are always a good thing, especially cute smoochable ones like Thunder. Congrats to Paige!
Love your story on how you arrived at another pet! No pinky promise. Got it! Keep the tips coming! :) But I'm glad you promised Paige because Thunder is absolutely precious!
I do love Thunder! What a beautiful kitty. And doesn't it make it feel so good that you rescued him from the pound?
