Crystal's 30th Birthday!!

My little sister, Crystal, celebrated her 30th birthday last week. It's hard to believe she is also now in her 30's right along with me. As a surprise, I took her idea for dinner at Matt's El Rancho and secretly invited family and friends to meet us there. We sent out an Evite and intentionally left the birthday girl off the guest list. This way, she was only surprised by the folks who showed up. The whole night was filled with suspense to see who might walk up next! Her friend Hollie actually talked to her earlier in the day and had to let her down easy when she told Crystal she couldn't make it. You should have seen the look on Crystal's face when Hollie walked up! This is not my proudest moment as a scrapper, but I did not have my camera out and ready for that pic, but it was priceless.

We all toasted Crystal with Margaritas & Coronas to celebrate this milestone with her! One thing you know about my family if you've ever celebrated a birthday or any other momentous occasion with us is that we, well, shoot tequila. The catch is that most people will try to fight the challenge and give every reason, most of them valid, why they cannot join in this celebratory shot of tequila. After some prodding, much balking and even some begging, everyone reluctantly agrees and Shots All Around!! Crystal's 30th birthday could hardly be any different, of course!
