I stand corrected ...

...because it actually snowed. In Texas. Craziness to see this much white stuff on my street!

Luke wasn't sure what to think of the snow. He was interested and super curious and LOVES being outside, so he was game for checking it out! He took off running, fell in the snow, touched it without a mitten then decided .. It's COLD! He was ready to go back inside not long after we got outside. Once we were in the house and unbundled, though, he was crying to go back out. It was a crazy back and forth snow adventure of getting dressed then undressed, trying different shoes and finally deciding it would be warmer inside.

What is all this?!

Luke looks like he just threw a snowball :)

Nicole making her snow turtle

...followed by her mini-snowmen. She said to make a big snowman would be "too time consuming" so she opted for tiny creatures instead.

Nicole and I went on a walk through the neighborhood. There was a group of kids sledding down the hill at the duck pond, which was somewhat frozen. I found myself wondering .. who owns sleds in Texas?! There were a few creative sleds like the skateboard without wheels, but you could hear giggles and screams. Very fun. We walked our way back over to the mailboxes to take the long way home.

Nicole kept stopping to leave a smiley face in the snow. It was her "Nicole was here." mark. Too cute ....

Paige was not interested in playing in the snow with us (!?!?) because she said it was pretty, but too cold. I did manage to snap a quick photo before she left for her dad's. You can see how much had melted away in just a few hours.

Snow day = Fun day and super exhausting morning ... this mommy needs a nap!
